Valid Georgia PSC Certificate; Service Certification (S) in School Psychology (P-12).

Possess and maintain valid and appropriate license, certificate, and/or credential as may be required for this position
Job Description
-
Respond appropriately and within federal and state guidelines to referrals for initial psychological assessment and reevaluation of children in special education programs.
-
Demonstrate a competent understanding of the psychometric characteristics of a variety of assessment instruments.
-
Demonstrate appropriate consultative skills in parent, teacher, and student conferences.
-
Communicate psychological assessment results and recommendations both verbally and through written reports.
-
Participate in eligibility and program decisions to meet the needs of students with disabilities.
-
Participate in and contribute to professional development activities.
-
Recommend appropriate remedial and intervention procedures for students.
-
Manage time and resources effectively.
-
Provide differential diagnosis in areas of intellectual disabilities, learning disabilities, and emotional/behavioral disorders.
-
Follow work scheduling and attendance requirements in a regular, predictable, and punctual manner.
-
Participate in training programs to increase skills and proficiency related to the assignment.

Review current developments, literature, and technical source information related to job responsibilities.

Ensure adherence to safety procedures.
-
Follow federal and state laws, as well as Board policies.
-
Perform other duties as assigned.
